Exciting news!

Posted in Checking In, News on 03/16/2010 by Ian

With the 2010 season underway, and obviously the drivers and the local events are bigger and better than ever, we’ve decided that we need to grow as well.

As nice as WordPress is, and how easy it is for us to post photos for all of you and have event info, we’re ready for a change.

Kenneth and I are in the process of putting together the ideas and design for a brand new MakeItRain website. This will be a full on new fresh start with many more options for not only us, but you the reader as well.

We will keep you updated with progress and junk, but big things are on the horizon!!!

– Ian.

This year should be one to remember. With so many hungry driver’s going for their Formula D license, to the guys who made it last year (Congrats Roland, Nikolay, Ian, and Victor). I’m really looking forward to see how people throw down this year.

I thank Kenneth for making a post on this again. Its really hard for us to even have content to post during the winter, because as you know, in Washington, we only get to drift half the year, unlike California. Luckily, like Kenneth said, everybody has been busy and there are going to be a lot of new cars and cars with new hearts this year.

Let’s make this the best year of drifting this state has ever seen. I’m really looking forward to seeing everybody again, its gonna be rad.

A new year is apon us, and with it brings good things to come

Fist off I’d like to apologize for not updating in a while, there has been a mixture of being to lazy and super busy that has kept me from doing something. Its seem like everyone is keeping very quite with what they have going on with their cars for next season, and I have a few cars that I can’t disclose any information about quite yet. Its killing me because they are some really cool cars, and cool people that own them. It should make Golden Gardens on March 28th something to look forward to because that seems to be where everyone shows off all the hard work they have put in to their cars over these colder months. I should hopefully have some nice changes to show off myself this time around.

For events we have the Drift School that is coming up, no date has been announced but I am suspecting that it will be towards the end of March or the beginning of April. If you are looking into starting drifting I HIGHLY suggest going, there will be a lot of skilled that will be there instructing and from what I have heard, the coordinator of the event is trying to get as close to a 1:1 ratio of student to instructor as possible. This will allow for a much more focused group of instructor and driver and seems to be the best route. For updates make sure to visit

These kind of events would be awesome

For some reason I can’t get my mind off of the snow that is undoubtedly going to fall this winter. Thinking about the snow reminds me of some drift missions that took place and how fun they were. We were going for 5 hours and took a break because we needed to discuss what we wanted to do and after the second wreck we decided what it was time to call it a night. It didn’t matter that it was cold or that two cars got messed up that night we had a blast because there was a peaceful feel about everything. I would love it if the local tracks would allow us to drive there in the snow; it would be a really good time for people who want to learn car control to come out and it would also be a blast for everyone to get a 4AC power Corolla or a KA powered S13 and do no cage tandems. I mean look at this video and tell me that it wouldn’t be fun!

The snow would also make for some very cool action shots.

Local Shop: Garage Autohero

Some of you may have been to the shop in person and are friends with the owner Ray Stonehocker but others my only be familiar with his Datsun 510 that has popped up recently on sites such as Motor Mavens and Speedhunters. Ray is an amazing fabricator and welder; he is constantly turning out awesome quality work. Garage Autohero is a one man show meaning all the work that comes out of the shop is to Ray’s personal standards. Garage Autohero now has its own website where you can find out more information on what Ray can do for you.

Intec Test and Tune At Evergreen Speedway

Posted in Checking In, Events on 10/09/2009 by Kenneth

On the 8th the local shop Intec Racing rented out Evergreen Speedway and held a privet test and tune day. The highlight and main reason for the event was Dean “Karnage” Kearney the 2009 Prodrift Super Series champion was testing out the Intec Racing Formula D S14.

Here is some raw footage that my good friend and team mate Anthony Carreon shot, thanks dude!

Local drivers Peter Funatake, Nik Jimenez, and Gleb Antonov were also in attendance and gave their cars one last good rip around the track before the good weather goes away for a few months.
